SECURITY/POLICE RESOURCES

The East Lancaster Avenue Public Improvement District’s (PID) security is provided by scheduled Fort Worth Police Officers in marked cars.  For non-emergency security issues at your property, text 817-851-4100 with the property address and the specific concern.  Texted pictures are also helpful.  See below for the types of issues the PID security handles.

When to Call 911

911 is for emergencies involving immediate threats to life, health, or property that require police, fire, or medical response. Situations include:

1. Violent Crimes or Threats

Armed robbery or assault.
- Physical altercations involving weapons.
- Active shooter situations.

2. Medical Emergencies

Severe injuries or accidents.
- Heart attacks, strokes, or unresponsive individuals.
- Drug overdoses.

3. Fire or Hazardous Conditions
- Fires in or near the business.
- Gas leaks or chemical spills.

4. Criminal Activities in Progress
- Burglary or theft involving a visible threat.
- Suspicious individuals potentially engaging in illegal activity.

5. Public Safety Threats
- Bomb threats or suspicious packages.
- Large-scale disturbances or riots.

When to Call a PID Officer

PID officers are generally used for non-emergency situations. Situations include:

1. Loitering or Trespassing
- Non-threatening individuals lingering without permission.

2. Disturbances Without Immediate Threats
- Verbal arguments or minor disputes.
- Customers refusing to leave the premises.

3. Monitoring and Reporting Suspicious Activity
- Unusual behavior without direct evidence of a crime.

4. Routine Security Matters
- Checking locked doors or alarm systems.
- Escorting employees or customers safely.

The Criminal Trespass Affidavit Program allows property owners/representatives and the Fort Worth Police Department to work together to reduce criminal activities on their property.
